IELTS Essay Task 2 - Part 1
IELTS Essay Task 2 - Part 1Here is another IELTS essay task 2 that will help you practice the English language. Try reading each sample paragraph out loud and see how you do. It doesn't matter if it is a new paragraph, or if you are a beginner or a working professional, this essay task is useful to many people. You will be testing yourself in four different parts: listening, reading, writing and speaking. There are four pieces of audio to work on, four pictures to read and write and four to speak in the essay. Before starting to work on each one, read and listen to the first paragraph at least three times.Listening is a good idea because this is the most difficult part. While you are listening, think about what you would say in your own words if the situations were reversed. This will help you remember the paragraphs that follow the sample paragraph.Reading will be a good idea. Listening and analyzing the paragraphs are great but if you have not read the paragraph before, you can not completely understand it. Read each paragraph out loud again to see how you did. If the paragraph sounds simple, that means it is.The next step will be to read and analyze the paragraph again. For example, when you read and analyze the paragraph from the beginning, where the sample paragraph talks about listening to the song, you should notice some words in the sentence. What are they? And also, what word is the last word in the paragraph? The important part of each IELTS paragraph is the last sentence and that is what we will focus on. Write down as many sentences as you can find inthe last sentence. Then listen to each sentence.Note how the final sentence in each paragraph is more complex. Look at the grammar, the word order and the meaning of the sentence. And in each paragraph, see if the last sentence has more to say than the first sentence in that paragraph. If you understand the IELTS sentences correctly, you will now have a good idea of the sections that you need to prepare fo r. You should have covered all the parts above. If you still need to study, go to Google and type in 'IELTS sample' and have a look at the results.
